With over 200 men in
attendance, the 2008 Super Bowl XLII party hosted by the Real Men Ministry was
a great success. With men from different age groups and various
backgrounds, the president of Real Men Ministry, Dr. Kendal Major, was pleased
with the turnout and the excitement that filled the room. Also in
attendance were Dr. Myles Munroe and Dr. Richard Pinder, assistant pastor and
senior vice president of Bahamas Faith Ministries International. Also in attendance were senior pastor and president of Bahamas Faith Ministries International, Dr. Myles Munroe, as well as Dr. Richard Pinder, assistant pastor and senior VP of Bahamas Faith Ministries. Right before kick off the event was opened with prayer and encouragement. However, once those were done it was time for the big kick off between the favorite18-0 New England Patriots and major underdog but fully charged New York Giants. “Let The Games Begin”. With cheers for both teams the room was never without lively sound and jeering. However, when the undefeated Patriots were defeated by the hungry Giants, not many celebrated as loudly as one would think. It was akin to the story of David and Goliath; only in this instance David was named the ‘Giants’. Overall with food, fun, fellowship, laughter, victory and defeat the Real Men’s Ministry has once again provided men, from all areas of Nassau and different churches, a place to come and enjoy the biggest game of the year and with the biggest God in the world. |

Visitors
This program began as a pilot project in April 2007 as an urgent request by the Guidance Counselor, Constance Chambers. We were subsequently asked to visit the school and meet with the remaining counselors and the principle, Antoinette Storr with a view to discuss the plight of the boys who were difficult to manage and regarded as “At Risk.” As a result of the meeting a framework was established and recruitment and training exercise was pursued to reach out to the boys.
