Mentoring Boys

SC McPherson Mentorship Program

mentor1.jpgThis program began as a pilot project in April 2007 as an urgent request by the Guidance Counselor, Constance Chambers. We were subsequently asked to visit the school and meet with the remaining counselors and the principle, Antoinette Storr with a view to discuss the plight of the boys who were difficult to manage and regarded as “At Risk.” As a result of the meeting a framework was established and recruitment and training exercise was pursued to reach out to the boys.
