Prison Ministry is an idea birth in the heart of God.
To this end Real Men
Ministry International is obedient in our quest to exhort, encourage and
minister to the needs of the disenfranchised, down trodden and despised.
Do you know that one in ten persons are caught and punished
in prison?
Do you know that one half of the persons charged with
criminal offences are acquitted?
Do you know that 60% of past inmates return to prison after
gaining their freedom?
Finally, are you aware that committed Christians do not
commit crimes?
To date, Real Men Ministry has implemented a Global Internet Link since June 2005,
which affords the opportunity for Inmates of the Prison to enjoy the ministry
of BFM on a large screen in real time in the Prison’s Dining Room. This
technological accomplishment is the first of its kind in the entire Bahamas
and serves as a practical approach to bring the gospel into the Prison
utilizing the latest technological advances. National Men’s Day Service in June 2005 served as the very first
time this initiative was launched. Since then, annually we have utilized this
state of the art technology. An integral part of this outreach ministry is to
host the Prison Choir at our
fellowship during these services. The hope and aspirations of the inmates assembled
are markedly lifted when they see other inmates on the big screen.
Real Men Ministry International, also impacts the Prison in
other ways. Weekly counseling visits have been great opportunities to touch the
lives of individual inmates.
Recognizing that reading and knowledge are necessary for the
expansion of the mind, which can potentially change lives, we have committed to
assisting the Prison in this endeavor. To date, we have donated many books to
inmates and Her Majesty’s Prison Library.Some of our future plans include the implementation of the Global Internet Link on a quarterly
basis. This idea and our ensuing plans have already generated a degree of
excitement and enthusiasm knowing that there will be more opportunities to
plant seeds of the Kingdom
of God to those who need
it most.
Prison Ministry is indeed God’s idea. Real Men Ministry International is using the medium of the Internet
to pursue this God ordained agenda.

This program began as a pilot project in April 2007 as an urgent request by the Guidance Counselor, Constance Chambers. We were subsequently asked to visit the school and meet with the remaining counselors and the principle, Antoinette Storr with a view to discuss the plight of the boys who were difficult to manage and regarded as “At Risk.” As a result of the meeting a framework was established and recruitment and training exercise was pursued to reach out to the boys.
